What is Member Overdraft Privilege?
Member Overdraft Privilege is a convenient service that can give you peace of mind and potential cost savings. If your checking account is ever short of funds, it can help save you from the embarrassment and expense of merchant fees or non-sufficient funds charges that may have otherwise been charged.*
How Does it Work?
If funds are not available in your checking account or designated overdraft source(s) at the time an item is presented to us for payment, Pinellas FCU may cover the item by bringing your checking account balance negative, up to a limit of $500. This amount will include our standard Member Overdraft Privilege fee charged per returned item.*
How Do I Opt In for Member Overdraft Privilege?
You may opt in or opt out for Member Overdraft Privilege at any time.
• Call (727) 586-4422 and ask us to mail a Member Overdraft Privilege Opt-in/Opt-out form to you.
• Visit your nearest Pinellas FCU branch to complete a Member Overdraft Privilege Opt-in/Opt-out form.

*Member Overdraft Privilege is not a line of credit. Only accounts that are in good standing and have been open for at least 90 days are eligible. The account must be brought back to a positive balance within thirty (30) calendar days of a negative condition. Pinellas FCU reserves the right to revoke Member Overdraft Privilege at any time. There is a fee for this service. Please see our current Fee Schedule.
